Bob the Beagle: You have to see it to believe it

We have had Bob since he was eight weeks old but last week we were ready to have him re-homed as he had became the leader of the pack, was ruling our lives and causing so much tension within the home. After a few weeks of Bob arriving he was ruling the roost, so much so by daughter would spend the evening in her room. He would just run around the downstairs jumping all over the furniture, chew anything he could get his teeth into, barking all the time. I would end up crying because I could not control him. All this was very upsetting as I have always had a dog from when I was a child, all of which were very well behaved but Bob was a different kettle of fish, we could not even take him for a walk without him pulling on the lead and jumping up at people and other dogs.

Then we found Sally's website and decided this would be our last chance of having and enjoying the dog we had hoped for.

Sally arrived at our home and within ten mins she had Bob on the lead and sitting at her feet. When my daughter's boyfriend, Paul, walked into the room, Bob remained sat at Sally's feet, he did not attempt to get at Paul or any of us in the room. Sally took Bob for a walk, he did not pull or jump up at any passersby. It was so unbelievable! We were lost for words.

That evening was the most relaxed and stress-free we have had since Bob had arrived at our home. We all have a long way to go but, we can't wait until Sally visits us again to teach us more. It won't happen overnight but we believe with Sally's help, advice and teaching skill we will get there and Bob can stay at home with us.

Thank you Sally

UPDATE: Three weeks after meeting Sally, Bob is a different  dog. I can now take him for walks, he’s not brilliant but loads better than he was and I am pretty sure within a few weeks he will be the dog we longed for. I was out walking him down by a lake by where I live and there was two dogs running off their leads, I stopped walking as I was worried Bob would jump up at them, as soon as I stopped walking Bob sat by my side, the two owners of the dogs walked pass me and said “What a well behaved dog you have” I could not believe my ears and was so proud of Bob.

Today is Sunday and for the first time since we have had Bob we all sat down at the table and ate a Sunday Roast, we could not do this before because Bob would be jumping up or in his bed barking the whole time so we gave up eating together.

My daughter and I cannot believe that one person (Sally) could have made such a change in Bob, we are so grateful because now Bob is a member of the family and we are no longer thinking of re-homing him. Myself and my daughter know we must continue doing all the advice that Sally has told us but, it is also reasurring to know Sally is only a phone call away if we need help again with Bob.

Thank you so much Sally - Jackie & Paige :-)
