Daddy the Chihuahua

Wow! We contacted Sally when we thought our dog was a lost cause. It’s lockdown due to corona virus and he bit my fiancé so badly he actually left tooth marks in his toe. After reflecting we realised Daddy’s whole life he'd been building up to this moment as we’d set him up to fail with no toilet training, bark control or ability to walk on a lead he dominated the whole house. Within literal minutes Sally showed us how to set the boundaries, how to gain control so Daddy didn’t feel the need to, and gave us practical step by step instructions as we really were clueless! We can’t wait to keep the work going, he’s got a long way to go but king daddy is no longer a king and from now on will NOT be reigning over our home!

UPDATE: It’s been three days since our training began and not only has our dog's behaviour changed but the whole atmosphere of the house has changed. Where we were once stressed at the dog peeing or barking indoors all the time and waiting for him to get angry he’s now relaxed, quiet, hasn’t had one toilet inside and we can go around our flat without tip toeing around him!

The most amazing part of this training that has taken me aback is the ability I have to ‘ talk’ to my dog. I love my dog so intensely but felt we were both just stressed and angry at each other all the time. Now when I’m training him I can actually see his brain working, he’s proven himself to be a highly intelligent dog where I thought he was stupid and aggressive and he’s extremely obedient which I never thought I would be saying about my own dog! I was once told by a friend not to house break my chihuahua as her chihuahua never learned and none of them do, so when he was a puppy I gave up! Sally Barnes has proven to me that ANY dog despite their breed, reputation to be yappy or not toilet trained can in fact be trained just as any other dog! I’m so happy with how our progress is going, you have nothing to lose by contacting her and if you follow her advice you’ll be stunned by the results and you will be proven wrong, you have to see it to believe it!
