George the Golden Retriever

My partner and I decided to contact Sally to help us with our gorgeous yet quite boisterous and at times naughty golden retriever called George. He is just over a year old now and is a big confident dog who was beginning to decide he was the top dog and the leader. Recall had gone out the window and I had stopped taking George to open fields as I knew he would run off out of sight, only coming back when he was done playing with a dog in the distance. This hugely worried me and I knew it was time to get the expertise of a professional dog behaviourist to show us the way to be with our dog.

After speaking with Sally on the phone and planning a date to meet up I felt a huge weight lift off my shoulders, I felt relieved knowing that Sally would be able to help us give George what he needed and teach us how to be the pack leaders and be in full control of our dog.

I will never forget the experience we had with Sally and when she met our dog George. Sally was so calm and it was reflected in the way George responded to her. By the end of our session George would follow Sally everywhere and wanted to please and do the right thing, he knew who was the leader, it was just amazing and quite emotional to watch almost a switch turn on and George finally understand he is not the top dog anymore.

We learnt a huge amount about ourselves and our dog in the hours we were with Sally and I only wish we had been in contact sooner.

It has been a couple of weeks now and the improvement in George is just incredible! We have contacted Sally a few times to double check we are doing the right thing and each time our calls were answered straight away with the support and answers we needed to continue.

We have changed our mindset for the better and now have the most amazing relationship with our dog.
