Nana the Border Collie

Nana the Border Collie

I was both amazed and delighted when I opened the door to you at your first visit at how submissive Nana became simply by you standing still and not giving her any attention. So simple, but Nana clearly understood what you were telling her - i.e. that she wasn't to jump up at you and that you were pack leader.

You have taught us some very simple but effective skills that allow us to communicate with our dog as a dog and she is so much calmer and relaxed now as a result. She has handed over managing the pack to us and as a result is so much calmer and no longer so anxious. She looks better and behaves better and I'm so pleased to say, she no longer pulls on the lead.

More importantly, she has accepted the grandchildren as pack leaders and doesn't try to 'herd' them and keep them in check any more. Clearly she is a much happier dog now that the 'pressure' has been taken off her as a result of her thinking she was to be our pack leader.

I wish that all dog owners could benefit from your understanding of how to communicate with and treat a dog like a dog. My daughter calls me a born again dog owner - well I certainly feel like that! Thank you so much Sally for all your help. It is priceless!
