Florence the Beagle

We contacted Sally after our six-year-old Beagle Florence started to show signs of aggression. Mainly towards other dogs whilst on the lead but this was worsening to off the lead too. She also started to take a dislike to strangers in the house and small children. We had Florence from a puppy and relied on treat rewarding which was just giving us an overweight, grumpy and unresponsive dog. Walks were worrying and we were starting to feel confused over the best way to react when Florence barked and lunged.

After just three sessions with Sally we are starting to see our old Florence back. She is much more lively, responsive and thinner! We as dog owners are more confident that we are doing the right thing. We thought we had enough boundaries in place but Sally showed us how Florence felt (and still feels at times) in charge and we needed to become more confident and dominant pack leaders. We had given her too much freedom and she was making too many decisions herself.

We still have a way to go, but we have really enjoyed working with Sally and our relationship with Florence is much healthier and happier as a result.
