Our puppy now meditates. Last week at our weekly meditation group he was restless after two minutes, was put in his cage in the hallway, then in an adjacent room where he continued to disturb us by whimpering and barking throughout the entire hour.

But the following week, after a single training session with Sally Barnes, he was a model member: he started off looking as if he wanted to do his usual thing of greeting, barking, biting and licking everyone. Instead he lay at his "master's" feet for a good hour climbing into his lap a couple of times.

Last week he was getting rewarded by everyone whether he was nibbling, nipping or licking them, fairly frenetically. This week he was rewarded for being incredibly calm and peaceful... which is what we're all seeking, isn't it?
