Troublesome Terrier

My husband and I have two dogs. A Patterdale terrier cross and a Springer Spaniel. Just recently they have began fighting. At first they would only fight when we were around, until one day I came home to a horrific site. They had been in another fight and the Springers ear had been bitten quite badly. I rushed him to the vets where Sally Barnes was recommended to me by one of the nurses.

When Sally came to visit us I was delighted to hear that she followed Cesar Milan's theories. My husband and I are massive fans of the show and believed that we were the leaders of the pack. But later came to realise that this wasn't so when the fights began. Sally helped us realise that it isn't just one thing that needs to be fixed to resolve the issues we have, but it is everything. It is hard work and 24/7!

On walks our terrier would bark at other dogs, cats, mobility scooters, busses, bikes, balls, you name it he would bark at it. He would go up on his hind legs too and pull when he was fixated on something. In a matter of minuets Sally had him walking behind her on lead. Sally sat him in front of a cat (no barking), sat him next to a garden where two little dogs tried to get his attension (no barking), bounsed a ball in front of him (no barking), bikes and busses drove past us (you guessed it, no barking). The fights have stopped.

There is respect, calmness and love in our house once again and we have Sally to thank for that.

Thanks Sally, you really have helped us to be more assertive and most importantly the leaders of our pack.
