We adopted Maddy from a rescue centre in April. She was about a year old, she is a lovely dog, but very lively and began to rule us!
We met Sally on Clifton Down one morning last week with her beautiful alsatians, she recognised the problems we were having and suggested she could help.
Sally visited us at home this afternoon, she spent 4 hours here and already we have a changed dog.
Maddy is asleep in her bed as I write, this is a dog who would not be still for 5 minutes. We have learnt so much in such a short time and so has Maddy.
Sally does not critisize you for your failings but gives you the knowledge and confidence to overcome the problems.

UPDATE: Second visit from Sally today. We have put into practise all week what Sally had shown us and we ARE getting results, the GREATEST ONE BEING THE CRATE. We did not like the idea but the results are AMAZING, Maddy goes in it, (her bed is in it) and just loves it - If we can't find her that's where she usually is, and last night we closed the crate door and went to bed, NOT A SOUND ALL NIGHT and still curled up in the bed in the morning. "HOW WONDERFUL IS THAT". We also took her for a walk with Sally's alsatian and it was fine.
We have avoided meeting other dogs as Maddy was so unpredictable. We feel so much more in control now and Maddy is much more relaxed and smiley!

Another great step forward, met Sally on the downs to try the lead work again, as we were not succeeding very well. By the end of two hours not only was Maddy better on her lead, she was actually trotting along with us without a lead. Lovely feeling.
