What a difference a day makes! I have a wonderful 6 year old lab Willow, but I wasn't being the best owner for her. She sometimes would grizzle at other dogs and did not recall instantly... so nothing too bad, but I wanted to iron out those issues and didn't know how.
Sally spent one afternoon with me explaining things from a dog's perspective and how to become a 'pack leader'. After a masterclass with Sally and her own dog, she taught me how to behave with Willow. So the next day, using her easy to follow, but very distinct, guidelines I became 'pack leader' and the results were instantaneous! Willow is calm, submissive, respectful and obedient - all this using about three words spoken quietly, kindly and firmly!
Sally is coming next week to help me with a young rescue Beagle that I am about to adopt - I'm sure she will not be as easy as willow - but I am so grateful to have learned some important basics... watch this space!
